Beskrivelse

Our experiences in close relationships form mental models that affect how we perceive of and act around others. These mental models are called attachment styles, and research has shown that the foundations for attachment styles are laid early on in childhood and have great influence on how we interact with other people throughout the course of our lives.

In the Fall of 2018, over 100 Psychology students from Aalborg University, alongside students from many other countries, took part in a research project addressing the question: Do our working models of relationships influence whether we trust and rely on other people? To answer this question, the project examined the relationship between attachment styles and trust and information-seeking in adults.

The head of the research project, Prof. Francisco Pons, University of Oslo, now visits Aalborg University to give a talk about the project, its foundations and results.
